BBC Radio Somerset, Local Author Feature – Pamela Lane (20/02/23)

Pamela Lane was born in Derby and moved to London in the 1970s where she studied for a Humanities Degree at Middlesex Polytechnic, specialising in English and Philosophy.

After a variety of jobs and time bringing up a family, Pamela realised her long-held ambition to become a writer with the self-publication of her first novel The Hurricane Drift in 2009. Her writing reflects her interests in ‘green’ issues, extreme weather, and popular science.

Since then she has published three other novels; Ice Rift (2011) Storm Shift (2013) , Ash (2017), Category Six (2020) and The Storegga Wave (2022).

Pamela moved to Somerset over 25 years ago and has a husband, two grown-up children and two grandchildren.
